The story of Idec began in a chapel in Blés, in the early 2000s, with only around twenty people. From 2003, its bias to establish itself as the single point of contact for clients in their real estate projects, designed and built turnkey, hitting the mark, Idec left the historic center of Blois and set up its headquarters in a larger building, a few kilometers away, in an industrial zone at the exit of the A10 motorway. A new era in this “cradle”marked by strong diversification and growth of the group. It thus went from 63 million euros in turnover and 84 employees in 2004, to 520 million euros, not far from 600 employees in France and an international presence in 2023!
Nearly twenty-five years after its creation, the group hopes to experience a “second momentum”. And as in 2003, this new chapter will be written in a new cocoon. Cramped in the premises he has occupied for twenty years, Idec has built another home, even larger, but not further away. Her “Campus” is in fact opposite its current offices, on land that it had reserved with the Chamber of Commerce andindustry for a long time, anticipating – and hoping for – an even greater future.
The Idec Campus is like this “more than a construction site, because it is our deskour working tool that we build. We put a lot of heart and emotion into it.”recognizes Ludovic Joli, Director of Works on the project, who joined the company in 2004. But it is also much more since in reality, three buildings including a fitness center and 2,000 m2 of green spaces have been developed. And this is only the first phase of a showcase project for Idec, part of which has already been delivered. The move into the new offices is due to begin in the summer of 2024.
And it is with this project that the group chose to pretend for the second time as Best Construction Site in France, a competition organized by the Passion BTP association. Discover it in pictures in the rest of the article.
